At the last
congress of the ESGE, held in September 2012 in Paris, a broad spectrum of
gynecological topics were presented containing a variety of presentations which
could be of interest to laparoscopic surgeons of other specialties as well.
Laparoscopy continues to proliferate in
volume and complexity in many
hospitals all over the world. Despite the fact that the advantages of minimally
invasive surgery are well known among surgeons, laparoscopy is still not implemented
in all hospitals especially in the case of complex procedures.
