If you took a surgical fellowship, work with a colleague who was a fellow, or if your institution offers surgical fellowships you know first-hand the critical role surgical fellowships play in the advancement of surgical care.
The Foundation for Surgical Fellowships exists for one reason only – to ensure that surgical fellowships are plentiful and available to all qualified candidates. There is no greater method to safeguard and advance the science of surgical care.
And we need your help.
Historically industry funded much of this advanced training. However, the growing and intensified scrutiny of relationships between surgeons and industry threatens the sustainability of this model. The Foundation for Surgical Fellowships has become the preeminent funding source for these critical training programs, and to date, industry continues to be the largest source of funding for the foundation.
However, funding from industry alone is insufficient.
The Foundation needs broad-based support.
Without the generous support of the surgical community – not only industry, but individuals like you – the Foundation will not be able to sustain its current impact of funding hundreds of qualified postgraduate Surgical Fellowship’s across the country.
Your contribution to the Foundation will help ensure that surgeons continue to receive the training they need and, ultimately, to guarantee that patients receive the state-of-the-art care they deserve.
