Intravaginal Electrical Stimulation for the Treatment of Chronic Pelvic Pain • de Oliveira Bernardes et al 2005;50(4):267-272. Twenty-four women participated in this study in which treatment consisted of ten 30-minute sessions 2 to 3 times per week with a Dualpex 961 that has a frequency of 8 Hz, a variation in intensity and frequency of 1 msec pulse length, and adjustment to the bearable intensity of each patient. Pain scores were evaluated before treatment, at 2 wks, 4 wks, and 7 months. At 7 months 66.7% of participants had no pain, and 8.3% had slight pain.
